Want to be Involved in Soccer Coaching? – Coaching & Safeguarding Courses at Bridge United

The FAI will be running Child Safeguarding and PDP1 Coaching courses at Bridge United’s grounds on the 5th of April. There are still plenty of places available but do sign up quickly as they are expected to be filled very soon.

Child Safeguarding- A necessary step

As anyone currently involved in children’s activities in any field know, Child Safeguarding courses, along with Garda Vetting, are now a legal requirement for working with children. It is a requirement for ALL people working with children in any organisation whether they be coaches or committee members. This is an opportunity for local coaches to fulfil this requirement without much travel.

Start Your Coaching Journey

The FAI PDP1 course is the first rung on the FAI’s coaching pathway and an excellent starting point for any coach with an interest in developing themselves and the players they work with. The course is designed to assist parents and coaches, to introduce children (aged 6-9 years) to fun soccer games and FUNdamental movement skills in a well-structured, stimulating and safe environment.
